Job Responsibilities

Position: Senior Engineer – MS Structure (Site Execution) 
Location: Bandra, Mumbai – Commercial Project 
Experience Required: 10+ Years 
Industry: Real Estate / Commercial Construction 
Reporting To: Project Manager / Construction Manager 

About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – MS Structure to manage and execute steel structural works for a large commercial project in Bandra. The role involves overseeing fabrication and erection activities, coordinating with design consultants and vendors, and ensuring that all MS structural works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards. 

This position requires strong technical expertise in steel structures along with hands-on site execution experience in both MS structural and RCC works. 

What You Will Do 

Technical Execution 
• Oversee end-to-end execution of MS structural works including fabrication, welding/bolting, erection, and structural alignment 
• Review GFC drawings, fabrication drawings, and connection details to identify discrepancies or technical issues 
• Coordinate with design consultants for clarifications, RFIs, and technical approvals 
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and structural codes 

Site Monitoring & Quality Control 
• Monitor daily site activities to ensure timely progress and compliance with QA/QC standards 
• Verify BOQs, monitor material consumption, and control wastage 
• Ensure required inspections, NDT tests, bolt torque checks, and structural alignment tests are conducted 

Vendor & Contractor Coordination 
• Coordinate with fabrication vendors, erection contractors, and logistics teams for smooth project execution 
• Track shop drawing submissions, fabrication progress, and material deliveries 
• Conduct coordination meetings and follow up on action points to avoid delays 

Safety & Compliance 
• Ensure implementation of safety protocols during lifting, shifting, and installation of steel structures 
• Work closely with safety and QA/QC teams to maintain site safety and compliance standards 

Planning & Reporting 
• Prepare micro-schedules, weekly progress reports, and resource planning reports 
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and escalate potential risks or delays 
• Support procurement through technical evaluations, vendor assessments, and material inspections.  

What You Bring 

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering 
• 10+ years of experience in civil construction with strong exposure to MS structural execution 
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial MS structural works and 5 years in RCC execution 
• Strong understanding of steel structure fabrication, erection methodologies, and structural drawings 
• Familiarity with IS codes, QA/QC standards, and industry best practices 
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and cross-functional site teams 
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel
